Annual Peabody Auction - Saturday, March 13th

Please join the Peabody community for this year's auction on Saturday afternoon and evening, March the 13th at Peabody Elementary School.  Not only is this event the major fundraiser of the school year, it is a time for children, parents, grandparents and staff to come together for a truly fabulous evening of fun!  Our theme this year is Under the Sea.  Once again, John Brackney will serve as our auctioneer extraodinaire and rumor has it his costume will be well worth seeing!  We will have silent auction items, the kids corner and a live auction that will make the evening fabulous for kids and adults alike!  Please join us and bring your cash, checkbook or credit card and a desire to have a great time!

Peabody Elementary Recognized by CDE as a 2009 High Performing School!

Eight LPS schools were recognized on Friday, August 7th, 2009 by the Colorado Department of Education as 2009 High Performing Schools in celebration of their excellent work in achieving 60th percentile or higher growth in one or more content areas for three consecutive years.  This recognition is based on individual student growth and indicates that students at Peabody are improving academically each year at higher than average rates.  We congratulate our students for their work, parents for their support and all the Peabody staff for ensuring that all kids are learning!

Professional Learning Community Late Start Day - Wednesday, February 24th

Our next district-wide PLC Late Start Day will be Wednesday, February 24 from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for Peabody Elementary.  Children will start school on this day at 10:36 a.m.  Children CANNOT be on the playground or in the building before 10:20 a.m.  If you are in need of child care, please call our SACC director Mary Lloyd at 303-347-4625.
