Annual Peabody Auction "Under the Sea" - Saturday, March 13th

What a fabulous event and good time by all on Saturday night!  Through your participation and support the Peabody community raised nearly $29,000.00!!!!  Thank you to Don Graham and Audra Wathen, chairpersons, for your dedicated leadership and hours of time to benefit our kids.  Thank you to all auction volunteers for the many hours you gave to secure auction items.  Thank you to our community for coming to support the auction, for making decorations, making quilts, cakes and other crafts. You have all worked to make our school a great place for kids and our community.  Special thanks to John Brackney for his many years of service to Peabody as a former student, parent and MC/auctioneer.  We know John will return to support Peabody in many ways!

Peabody Elementary Recognized by CDE as a 2009 High Performing School!

Eight LPS schools were recognized on Friday, August 7th, 2009 by the Colorado Department of Education as 2009 High Performing Schools in celebration of their excellent work in achieving 60th percentile or higher growth in one or more content areas for three consecutive years.  This recognition is based on individual student growth and indicates that students at Peabody are improving academically each year at higher than average rates.  We congratulate our students for their work, parents for their support and all the Peabody staff for ensuring that all kids are learning!

Professional Learning Community Late Start Day - Wednesday, April 7th

Our next district-wide PLC Late Start Day will be Wednesday, April 7th from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for Peabody Elementary.  Children will start school on this day at 10:36 a.m.  Children CANNOT be on the playground or in the building before 10:20 a.m.  If you are in need of child care, please call our SACC director Mary Lloyd at 303-347-4625.

These 10 Late Start Days are valuable to our staff as we look at data on every student and determine how to best meet their learning needs.  On this day our teachers will meet in vertical teams to discuss individual student needs and to work on grade level SMART goals.  Thank you for your continuing support of our efforts to meet the needs of every child at Peabody.

Ms. Wilson's AM class schedule on this day is:  10:36 a.m. - 12:32 p.m.
Ms. Wilson's PM class schedule on this day is:    1:17 p.m. -  3:13 p.m.
