Preschool Information Night and registration information:

Peabody will be hosting an information night for our 2010-11 Pre-Kindergarten program (Peabody Pals).  Children will need to turn 4 by October 1, 2010 in order to participate.  Please join us on January 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Child care will be provided.

Registration for Peabody Pals will be held on February 1 from 7:30 - 7 and February 2 from 7:30-4.  A $100 non-refundable deposit needs to left with the registration form in order to reserve a spot.

Peabody offers an active array of enrichment as well as before and after school blue ribbon child care programs. 

Our Enrichment programs offer extra curricular activities for student participation before and after school.  

 Our award winning Panther Pride programs offer before and after school care, Kindergarten Plus (continued education after a.m. kindergarten) and Peabody Pals, our fun and exciting preschool program for children turning 4 by 10/1/10.

“School and Family Working for the Total Child”

Open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the School-Age Programs at Peabody focus on child-centered care, which complements the school day experiences of Peabody students. Activities promote the development of healthy and age-appropriate leisure time pursuits and vary with the number, ages and interest of the participating children. Children learn to function comfortably, cooperatively and positively with one another.

A typical day includes before activities to help our children have a fun and positive start to their school day. The children can choose between the computer lab, gym or an assortment of activities in our home room. Children may bring a breakfast and milk is provided. There is a two day a week minimum enrollment required.

The Kindergarten Plus program provides curricular reinforcement, social and recreational activities for A.M. Half Day Kindergarten students. The children come to us from 11:25 - 3:10. Students may bring a lunch or purchase one from the cafeteria. There is a two day a week minimum enrollment required.

After school, planned time for transition between the regular school day and school-age care is provided through opportunities for sharing with friends and an afternoon snack. Structured activities in small groups feature arts and crafts, computer lab, homework club, cooking, science, gym and outside play and supervised free play.

We also provide a full day of care and enrichment on non-school days, such as conference and in-service days. Our summer program features reading incentives, field trips, special guests, library day and loads of fun!

We are closed when LPS is closed for holidays and breaks, except for the summer.

The programs operate under the supervision of the school principal. Staff members include a program manager, assistance manager, Kindergarten Plus instructor/s, and activity leaders with special expertise in organizing activities for elementary children. To ensure quality adult guidance for the participating students, a maximum ratio of one adult for every fifteen children is maintained.

Stimulating children’s interests and meeting their needs are our foremost goals.
