 New Child Safety ProgramMinimize
Dear Peabody Families,

In our continuing commitment to support the safety of our community, Peabody Elementary is pleased to announce our participation in the SmileSafe Kids® program, a new child safety program developed in partnership by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Lifetouch National School Studios.

This new program will provide the families of every student photographed on school Picture Day with a pair of Safety ID Cards free of charge.

According to the Department of Justice, nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year. While most missing children are found within a few hours, we know that any time apart from your child can be a stressful and terrifying experience. The SmileSafe Kids® program is designed to help your family stay safer and prepare you to respond quickly if your child is missing.

We have made every effort to make sure all of our students have been photographed on picture day and retake day.

Additional information about the SmileSafe Kids® program will be included with your child’s safety cards in November. In the meantime, please visit www.smilesafekids.com for more information about the program.

At Peabody Elementary, the health and well-being of your child are top priorities. We’re proud to be a partner in the SmileSafe Kids® program, one of the nation’s largest child safety initiatives.

Sincerely,

Kristin Ryan
Principal
